Match Report:
A match where we had a pretty good team on paper. On the day that's where it stayed. We only got the ball to the full forward line on one occasion - late in the last, and it was repelled. Plympton dominated all day. They ran in packs, in lines running towards their goals, and with slick handball and precise passing, had us chasing.
While we had several players to stand up they were swamped by the run of the opposition.
Our only real winner was Miles DeBlasio - he had a day on. Was heard to say "I got a lot of possessions by default". This is not correct. He got his possessions by being in the right spot to get them. He marked and repelled all day. However with the weight of the numbers of attacks by Plympton he was passed by, either breaking the line or slipping around the flanks. Not too many games where you only have one clear winner and you run out on top. That's what happened to us.
It's not the end of the world though. We did have a good team - many have played A Grade and we collectively couldn't play that bad again.
