Match Report:
Again a disappointing turn up by many players. Just scrapping up enough to field a team when the picked team, on paper, looked very good.
In the event we went into the game fired up and performing. For the first 15 minutes. We were up and looking the goods and then the wheels fell off. In the first quarter we scored three goals and were in front for much of the quarter. Then in the second half Brahma Lodge slipped into gear and dominated. They dominated for the rest of the game. While we had plenty of players who put in we were not able to contain the opposition.
Again another large loss.
Best: 1. Mark Baryczka with his usual attack on the ball. Plenty of desperation. 2. Kym Rasheed likewise. Many touches. 3. Rhett Quinlivan was also in the thick of things throughout the game with some polished football. 4. Taz McCallister in ruck and around the ground ran into some good form. 5. Luke Kooyman gave 100 percent and was desperate in his attack on the ball.
Matt Medhurst changed to full back eclipsed their full forward - who had kicked 6 or so in the first half - reduced to only a couple of touches in the second.
Brett Kelly turned up and had a first run of the season. Played well too.
Others had good spots. John Murray, Peter Tozer and Grant Hure all had possessions. But in the end we were soundly beaten.
