Do you enjoy getting abused? Do you look good in orange or green? Then we have the opportunity for you…
Interested persons are welcome to express their interest in umpiring the club’s B Grade and C Grade matches. Opportunites have opened up due to Frank taking up the B Grade coaching role and the introduction of a C Grade team (to be confirmed).
Umpiring training and accreditation will be provided where you can learn:
· How to blow a whistle
· How to run backwards
· How to pat one side of your bum while pointing in the opposite direction
· How to deal with vitriolic abuse from not only opposition players and supporters, but also from your own players and supporters
· Some rules
Vacancies also exist for Scoreboard Attendants, Boundary Umpires, Goal Umpires, Water Runners, Team Managers, Timekeepers and Interchange Stewards. Persons filling these roles in 2009 will be given first preference to, again, perform these roles in 2010.
Remuneration for these roles can be negotiated and will range from Canteen or Bar Vouchers to cold, hard $$cash$$.
