As a football "Caller" Barry made many calls of the junior football grand finals as well as special events.

These included the Rosewater v Lockleys U15 game in August 2000 - the Lockleys team included many players from the aboriginal lands in the north west of SA and near-by Western Australian aboriginal communities.  The video was produced (by the Western Districts Junior League) so the parents could see their children play.  Also of note was the calling site was produced by Life Member Kevin Cains in that a pantechnican truck was provided to produce a raised protected site from which to call and film.  It was a success.
