Adam Rumbelow started at Rosewater as a junior in the U9's in the then Port Adelaide Junior League, forerunner to the Western Districts Junior Football League, now Metro West Junior Football League. Adam played through the grades, U9, U11, U13 and U15. He was part of the very succcessful U13's Premiership Team and U15 Runner-up team. After finishing junior football Adam took a four year break, concentrating on cricket as a sport. He returned to Rosewater as a 19 year old and has been part of Rosewater every year since. He has played in the A Grade since resuming football, with the exception of his second game, where returning from injury, he commenced in the B Grade. He also filled in with one B Grade game prior to playing in the A's (making up the number), and in 2011, returning from injury - a hammy - returned via the B's (testing the injury).
His commitment to the Club saw him rewarded with the Captaincy in 2005. He has been Captain, with the exception of 2007, since. This is either as a Co-Captain or stand alone Captain. In 2007 Adam played 6 games with Port District but returned to Rosewater as his ties to the Club were too strong.
With a background in I.T. he has led Rosewater with many I.T. issues. The electronic medal count is second to none.
His efforts on behalf of the Club saw him awarded Life Membership at the 2008 - 2009 AGM - Life Member number 122.
Adam's football at Rosewater has seen him mainly as an attacking half back flanker, with the ability to slot into the forwards and kick goals. Additionally has an occasional run on the ball.
Selected as Vice Captain in the Talking Amateurs "Team of the Year", 2009, on the half back flank, and again Vice Captain in the Talking Amateurs "Team of the Year" in 2010 - this time in the back pocket! And in 2011 on the bench!
In Round 12, 2010, Adam attained 200 A Grade games at Rosewater.
Adam continues his interest in cricket playing first grade cricket for both Port Adelaide from 1992 (juniors) moving to seniors until 2001, and then with West Torrens District Cricket Club. Adam was the wicketkeeper/batsman in the WTDCC A Grade 2006/2007 Premiership Team - the first in 45 years! He has an interest in coaching and has been awarded the SACA Junior Coach of the Year on five occasions (2006/07, 2007/08, 2009/10, 2010/11, & 2011/12).
He coached the WTDCC U17's / U16's in the Bank SA competition, to five premierships in the years identified. Adam continues as the WTDCC U16 Coach and coach of the Bank SA team.
